On our first day we did a tour of the city and saw the main sites. I walked up the Queens steps which were built for the Queen so she could get off the boat. I saw Captain Cook's statue and monument where he beached the Endeavour. We had lunch at the bowls club and dad had to put on a really ugly shirt because he was wearing a singlet. I went to the Captain Cook museum and saw the real cannon and the anchor off the Endeavour. We went on a singing ship which was alot of fun and we made alot of noise. On one of the days we went for a day trip to a rockart tour. Our tour guides name was Willy Gordan. He was funny but he taught us alot about aboriginal life and the art. We learnt that if you use the sap off a bloodwood tree as a hand cleanser it will seal a wound like a band-aid. He got a bottlebrush pod and took off all the petals and it felt like velvet. We saw some nice rockart and some sacred aboriginal sites.
