Cairns

When we got there we set up and had lunch.  Then we went for a drive to the Crystal Cascades where we saw a big waterfall and some waterholes.  I had a swim and it was cold but refreshing.  The next day we went on the Scenic Railway and the Scenic Skyway.  We went on the railway first and we saw some amazing views and it was awsome.  It went through lots of tunnels and over bridges and past some waterfalls.  It travelled from Cairns to a place called Karanda.  At Karanda we went for a walk through the town and had lunch in the park. We went to a butterfly sanctuary.  It was cool and i learnt a lot about different kinds of butterflies.  After that it was time to get on the Skyrail for our ride back.  Skyrail is a cablecar ride that goes really high up over the mountain range and then down all the way to Cairns.   It was fun until we slowed down for our first stop right over the top of a river.  I screamed and when i screamed mum freaked.  When we got to the end i got off and i felt a bit dizzy but it was worth it and we got some great photos.  The next day i did some cooking in the camp kitchen with our friend Suzie.  We made an apple slice that we had for sweets that night.  Yum.  It was fun.  Then we had a swim in the pool and dad took us for a ride to the BMX track.  The next day we went for a bike ride along a river behind the caravan park.  It was a nice ride but a long ride.  When we got back i was so hungry and thirsty.
