Port Hedland

We went for a look around the town.  It is a big industrial town full of miners in bright work shirts like dad wears and a lot of dust.  We went to the port and watched an iron-ore ship get  loaded.  They can carry more than 200,000 tonnes. The iron-ore comes from all over the Pilbra area and is carted by 3km trains to the wharf where it is loaded onto ships.  It is the biggest iron-ore loading facility in the world.  We saw some salt pans because they also produce salt and load that onto ships as well.  It was Kaleb's birthday here and he loved it.  We went out for tea to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Kaleb.
