On our first day we went to Kellys Knob which is a lookout. We went to the diversion dam which is a weir and also went to the swim and ski beach. We did a day trip to Wyndham and went to the five rivers lookout. It is where five rivers come into one. We saw some dreamtime sculptures then had a photo taken with a massive crocodile. We went to Margaloo Billabong where we saw lots of aquatic birds and a salt water croc having a feed. I went to the Grotto for lunch and saw a lot of man made steep steps leading down into a gorge. Then we went to Emma Gorge where we walked for 3.2 kilometres over rivers and over rocks to a big rock pool with a beautiful big waterfall. We saw Ivanhoe Crossing which is normally a road crossing but due to the wet season they had this year they have closed it for the whole year.It was flowing so fast it was like a continuous rapid. We went to the Sandlewood factory where they make perfumes out of the Indian Sandlewood tree. They use the heart which is the middle of the tree that is where the oils are stored. I tried lots on. Next we went to the Zebra Rock Gallery. They had lots of things made out of rock which gets its name because it is striped like a zebra but can come in lots of different colours. It comes from Lake Argyle and is under water for 10 months of the year. The other 2 months which are September and October is when they can excavate the rock. We went to the Pumphouse Restaurant for tea on fathers day and watched a band that was all girls. It looked over Lake Kununarra. It was a nice place.
I can't put photos for Kununurra yet because our portable hard drive broke.
