Kakadu National Park (Cooinda)

On our first day we walked for about 1.5 km and saw some amazing rockart.  We also went to two lookouts.  We had a swim in the park pool.  Then we got ready to go on the Yellow Water cruise on the Yellow Water Wetlands that connected to the East Alligator River.  We saw some big crocodiles and lots of birds and ducks.  We also saw a nice sunset at the end of the cruise.  The next day we went to Cahills Crossing and Ubirr.  I saw some more crocodiles and this is where the river borders Kakadu and Arnheim Land.  Then we went to Ubirr and walked along a track and climbed to the top of a rock and looked all over Kakadu, the billabongs and the flood plains.  Then we had a nice long swim back at the park.

We saw a wild pig.

On our Yellow water Billabong cruise.

A Jabiru.

The sunset we saw on the cruise.

Cahills Crossing.

Climbing to the top of Ubirr.

The view was amazing.  We could see over Kakadu
and all the flood plains.

Cahills Crossing later in the afternoon.

A croc waiting for a feed.

Having fun back at the pool.
