Atherton

We went to the Crystal Caves.  All the pirites and geotites looked like a rock but when you cracked them open they are full of gems or Amethysts.  Then we drove to Yungaburra to find some Platypus.  We walked along a river to look for them and we found three.  They were very shy.  We drove to the Curtin Figtree.  It was made up of two huge trees forming an arch and all the vines hanging down look like a big curtain.  We went to Milla Milla lookout then we did the waterfall curcuit.  We saw three different waterfalls and they were all running well because they had alot of rain .  On the way back we called into the Gallo dairy to get an ice-cream.  The ice-cream was yummy but the smell of the place was revolting.

Yummy ice-cream at the Gallo Dairy.

Exploring at Crystal Caves.

This is the biggest Geotite crystal in the world.

It was very exciting to see the platypus,
